Mermaids Dream is a beautifully decorated, well appointed Unique Beach house finished in September of 2017. Guests have direct access to the beautiful sugar sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, large saltwater/saline pool (w/kiddie pool), as well as bay pier for great fishing!
The 4 bedroom side of the house has 4 large bedrooms with 2.5 baths, a large open living area and gourmet kitchen for gathering. The living area has a 55" flat screen 4k HD and offers a queen sofa sleeper
Mermaids Dream has 4 (5 )spacious bedrooms and sleeps 12 and up to a total of 16 w/ the attached private luxury apartment is Perfect in-law quarters! Apartment rents separately for $199/night

BEDROOM #1: Master king bedroom (downstairs) with private bath with dual vanities, sunken jacuzzi tub, and private deck to enjoy morning coffee or relaxing time alone.
BEDROOM #2: QUEEN (upstairs) offers queen bed, flat screen tv, deck and beautiful views!

BEDROOM #4: DOUBLE BED & BUNK BED (2 TWINS) Sleeps 4, flat screen tv, deck and beautiful views!

Decks abound as well as luxurious under house seating/living room and cooking area that increases your outdoor living space. There is a back dining porch, a sun porch overlooking the pool and a 2nd floor sundeck for relaxing and enjoying the view.
Laundry room with full size washer and dryer is located upstairs for convenience to guests.
The 1 bedroom apartment has all the same amenities as the 4 bedroom side. Large living area with flat screen and private dining deck, there is also a 2nd floor deck off the master to enjoy the breeze and view. There is also a private kitchen and laundry area on the apartment side as well as 1-1/2 baths.

We are located in the Bay to Breakers Community, only 550 feet from your toes in the sand on Gulf of Mexico private beach, on a private street with very little traffic! We are 50 feet from the large saltwater pool and kiddie pool. To go fishing in the bay simply cross 180 and walk out onto the pier and dip your hook.
We are in quiet Fort Morgan, AL with a private beach for only our small street, yet we are only a 2 minute drive from Tacky Jacks 2 for beautiful sunset dinners on the deck, 5 minutes to Sassy Bass and only 18 miles from Gulf Shores attractions.
So leave the crowds behind and come enjoy or beautiful private part of the island.

We have this beautiful home that was just completed in 2017, as well as the attached apartment and our home on the other side of the pool named The Lazy Lizard. We built these as a place for our large extended family to get together and enjoy our beautiful private beach, along with the pool, going fishing in the bay or just relaxing in Fort Morgan where the crowds haven't taken over yet. We purchased this house in 2017
Why We chose Fort Morgan: It only took one vacation to Fort Morgan for our entire family to fall in love with the beaches, tranquility and peace of it. What makes this house unique We chose Bay to Breakers because it is away from the crowds, yet close enough to anything we might want to do in town. We love the pool and the private beach with no crowds. There are very very houses on our street, so we don't have constant traffic and noise.

Celebrating 50th Anniversary at The Mermaid
For our first beach trip in years, the Mermaid was the perfect choice! We decided to celebrate our marriage of 50 years with our entire family--3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 6 grandchildren, and we were thrilled with the accommodations, proximity to beach, and space below for some memorable meals together. Why go out to eat (although there are several nice places nearby--Tacky Jack's and Sassy Bass to name a few) when you have a large grill, two fire pits, and plenty of seating for even our crowd? The decor was lovely, and the kitchen facilities--a must for a large family--were roomy and very well equipped! Our grands were especially amazed at the multiplicity of large televisions! We heartily recommend a stay at the Mermaid--don't wait, though. Bookings like this one will fill quickly!

Wonderful Family Vacation
We rented Mermaids Dream and the attached apartment for our family of 13. Beautiful new property! Was wonderful to have the two kitchens and two living areas. Worked out great for our 8 adults and 5 kids. Loved the beach,pool and fishing pier that was all within walking distance. Family members suggest night stands in upstairs bedrooms, hooks in bathrooms and ice makers did not seem to make much ice. Rose was very good about answering any questions we had. Made wonderful memories and hope to return next year!

We are In LOVE with this house
We went with 6 other couples and kids, rented the house and the attached apartment. It was amazing, we had plenty of room for everybody, there was 2 of everything, kitchen, living, laundry, decks. The underside lounge area was absolutely amazing for relaxing after the beach or pool, which by the way is closer to the beach than most condos for walking distance, the kids played under the house while we lounged and talked.. Their are decks with wonderful views all around this house, the pool is literally at the bottom of the steps. The quiet, quaint little neighborhood has all the amenities, pool, private beach and we even went fishing on the private pier on the bay. I just can't say enough good things about this home. We will definitely be back

Absolutely Gorgeous House
We have rented a lot of houses in the area and this one by far was the nicest for a good price. The attached apartment was amazing for the other family that was traveling with us. We will definitely be back.

Amazing!
The home was exactly as described. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Immaculatley clean and the beach was so close we felt like we were right on it. Pool was beautiful and we finally got to use it in mid February when the weather warmed up.

Beautiful Home!!
We rented the house including the apartment for a beach get away for New Years. This house has everything! Amazing decor and fully furnished kitchens with decks at all levels! A short walk to the beach or the bay - truly beautiful!!

What a great place.....home away from home! The house was so roomy and very nicely decorated. The beach was an easy walk and beautiful! The kids enjoyed watching the crane that hung out to the pool.....we even named him! Definitely will be going back!!☺

Amazing House !
This house definitely is unique. This is the first time we rented a house with an attached apartment for the in laws, and we LOVED it ! The house is gorgeous, convenient to the beach, pool and bay for fishing. The furnishings are very tasteful and comfortable, the bedrooms are not all crowded up, you actually can move, and the apartment is a whole other house by itself with a full sized, fully stocked kitchen, private bedroom with Jacuzzi bath, the in laws loved being with the grandkids, but they also loved the privacy and peace and quiet of their own space.
The 4 bedroom side has a wonderful kitchen, living and dining area that is open and spacious. the walk to the beach is maybe 100 yards, the pool is right next door, it has decks to take in all the views and relax or eat. There is a grilling area under the house with seating to sit and chat while enjoying the Gulf breeze and cooking.
I cannot say enough good things about this home, except that we will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later. The description by the owner doesn't do it justice !
