The house is located in the perfect spot for a beach getaway. Amenities available, like outdoor showers and hoses, and location make daily beach visits so much easier. We will definitely be back!

This house provides a very comfortable location for relaxing at the beach. The house is clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, and there is ample outdoor seating on the deck and under the house next to the parking. The owner is responsive to questions and even kept us informed of weather alerts she received about our area. There is a complete information packet in the house about local restaurants and activities.

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect beach home! Beautifully decorated and maintained. All the comforts you could ask for. The beach and views are amazing. Really a neat piece of beach. Peaceful, calm, not crowded. We enjoyed all the comfortable outdoor spaces and the outdoor shower! The owner was very attentive and available. We would highly recommend this home and hope to return again!

This was our third year and loved our home away from home. We were extremely glad to escape the weather. The day we left it was -25, -55 wind chill. Sandy Bottoms was a welcome respite. Although the weather at this time of the year isn’t always ideal, unless it’s pouring rain, we could always walk on the beach. Having everything we could possibly need to cook our own meals is a big plus. We enjoyed lazy breakfasts and fancy Bloody Marys’ on the deck. When we felt the need to go out, the possibilities are endless, so many opportunities to try something new. My favorite meal is breakfast. We tried the Ruby Slipper in Orange Beach, 5 stars from me. It’s fabulous. And if you like homemade biscuits as big as your face - OMG! Another gem we found in Orange Beach was “Another Broken Egg” The proximity to the beach never gets old. This year we saw several fishing boats within view for about a week. The nearby trails are wonderful. Pine Beach and Gulf Shores State Park have so much to offer. On one of the trails we were happy to find an eagle’s nest. Could see the nest with two young ones and both parents as one flew off to get food while the other stood guard after young were fed. So much of Gulf State Park and other sites still to explore. My husband came across a saying he liked “ A shell in your pocket and sand in your shoes” Hey what more can you ask.

A wonderful stay at Sandy Bottoms for five days over New Year’s. What a lovely place to stay even when the weather isn’t perfect. We like to eat in and Sandy Bottoms has everything we needed to cook at home. I couldn’t imagine anything that we might need that isn’t provided.
Everything about the house is geared toward comfort with soft cozy blankets, comfy beds, an incredible kitchen, beautiful gulf sunsets, and uncrowded beach for miles. It is close enough to shopping and restaurants while still far enough to be private and secluded.
We will keep going back to Sandy Bottoms every chance we get.

We just love this house year round! November, and December have a special place in our hearts for Fort Morgan, and we have been coming here for many years. It is serene and uncrowded, and when we went to the beach, we had it all to ourselves. Sandy Bottoms is warm, comfortable and has everything you need for an extended stay.

We have rented beach houses on the East Coast in N.C., the Gulf Coast in Tx., and the West Coast in Monterrey, Ca. Sandy Bottoms is far and above the best for comfort, furnishings, and relaxation. It was as if someone actually lived in the house and just asked us to "house sit" for a few days. It seems that everything that you would want - or need - was there. Who can fault a beach house that has a Martini Shaker and Martini glasses! We had four wonderful days of R&R after a rough week and we loved every minute of it. The beach was a short walk out the back door (past the gazebo) and the sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Wonderful food inn nearby restaurants and places to buy fresh seafood if you want to cook your own. The only thing we missed out on was the ferry as it was closed Thanksgiving Day and closed due to high winds on the day we left.
