Our unit is located right across the street from the new beach revitalization which includes the beach safety headquarters, public boardwalk, green space , walking paths lined with palm trees, shade structures & restrooms. Great Beach views from the front or back deck. The large front deck is a great place to socialize, small back deck is great for quite times. Such an easy walk to the beach , just cross the street and your toes are in the sand. Beach Buggy, beach chairs, umbrella & cooler for your convenience & some beach towels, making your short walk to the beach easier then waiting for an elevator & carrying heavy loads Free parking for two cars under condo! Additional parking on the street. There is a pool at the north end of the unit shared by only 12 condos. Pool is closed from October to April. Most public activities are on the beach directly in front of the condo like the Shrimp Fest and Music Fest. You will not be disappointed with this location. Unit offers two large bedrooms upstairs separated by a full bath. Bedroom 1 - King Sized Bed, with large closet and built in dresser with large mirror and ample lighting for doing your make-up or hair along with mounted TV Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed & Twin Bed with trundle, also with built in dresser with large mirror, ample lighting and spacious closet, with mounted TV All new linens & bedding in this unit and many new furnishings. Baby gate provided Laundry room with full size washer & dryer along with ironing board Full Kitchen- lots of new dishes, toaster, blender, skillets & crockpot and much more Living Room - New queen sleeper sofa long with recliner. Large flat Screen TV, WiFi & Cable TV, Small dining table & counter seating Bathroom downstairs has a large vanity with storage & toilet We will also leave you some paper products along with, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, & some laundry soap to get started This unit is nicely decorated with modern beach decoration. We are unit 2 which is on the end closets to the beach it is a small townhouse complex all owned by individual owners Refunds given for mandatory evacuation

We currently live in Southern Illinois. Jerry is a retired heavy equipment operator & Rose still works for a company called Edward Jones Investments. We have a daughter who is married and two teenage grandchildren.
We enjoy outdoor activities which include camping, boating, exploring new places in our jeep and watching our grandkids play sports.
We have been coming to GS for over 30 years, having traveled to many to many areas and countries it seemed like our hearts were always in Gulf Shores and have met some of the nicest people in the area.
We have stayed in many places in Gulf Shores over the years some good and some not so good, but we had always walked by the Southwinds Complex but never stayed here and not for sure why. After stay here and meeting a lot of other travelers and owners we loved the idea of a smaller complex, the spacious inside and not having to fight for a parking place every time we left and loved the idea we could walk most places we wanted without having to get in the car.
Loved the views and all the new things happening in the area around Southwinds complex- WE HAD IT ALL RIGHT HERE!!!!
This condo has everything you need to have a great vacation. Right across the street from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and nightlife. We stayed for 4 nights at a great price and have zero complaints about gulf shores or the condo!!!
