Island Time at The Beachcomber is an amazing Gulf Shores beach getaway location. Alabama beaches have gained in popularity in the recent years. We urge you to come down and see what all the excitement is about. The unit is centrally located off East Beach Blvd right behind The Whaler and the Lighthouse and is within walking distance of The Hangout and other great dining and shopping options.

Island Time has deeded beach access with a regulated cross walk for easy crossing of beach blvd. Island Time features two bedrooms and one bathroom. We strive to provide a nice, well outfitted, and great value beach condo for your stay. Although we do not offer some amenities, such as a pool, we do everything we can to ensure you have a great vacation, romantic getaway, couples’ trip, girls’ trip, or simply a change of scenery.

We loved Gulf Shores so much we wanted to share this area with others! We love the small town feel and the beautiful sights and attractions in the area. We have watched our kids grow here and seen the happiness on their faces while they have enjoyed the sun, sand, salt water, and all the other attractions.

This is a great centrally located Gulf Shores beach condo. The unit is centrally located on the east side of Beach Blvd. This puts you right in the center of everything. You can easily walk to many restaurants, mini-golf, The Hangout, Sea-N-Suds, Picnic Beach, Mikes, and many other great businesses. The location also allows you to get around a lot of beach traffic, all the while being centrally located to Surf Style, Island Market, Rouses, Walmart, other island stores, etc. The area also features tons of indoor and outdoor activities. Outdoor activities range from low-key pursuits like Waterville (waterpark), mini-golf, bike trails, walking trails, and kayaking, to adrenaline-pumping adventures like ziplining over the dunes, parasailing, jet ski rentals, boat rentals, banana boat rides, dolphin tours, sunset cruises, etc.

We have owned this unit since 2016 and have loved our time in the area and enjoy the beach and The Gulf of Mexico waters. We have strived to make the unit consistently better every time we come down. The unit is a 2-bedroom 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a king-sized mattress and bedroom #2 has 2 queen-sized mattresses. We have placed large screen HD smart TVs in both bedrooms as well as in the living room. The TV and internet services are fiberoptic services provided by Securevision. Island Time internet is faster than what I can get at home!

We have listed many, if not all the amenities below. Island Time is well outfitted from the Beach to the bathroom, to the Kitchen. At the beach, we have a pair of rental chairs and an umbrella for your stay! No lugging of chairs and the hassle of getting the umbrella into the sand. (Note: The chairs are only provided from March-Oct) We have young ones and found that a handheld shower head made bath time much easier.

We have also tried to outfit the condo with everything that we have found that we needed for our short or long stays. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets, pizza pans, cooking and eating utensils, 12 cup coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, blender, air fryer, and much more.

We also try and provide consumables such as coffee (generally Community Coffee), K-cups, coffee filters, salt, pepper, seasonings, olive oil, non-stick spray, etc. We strive to also make available dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The cleaning company leaves one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper, and bath soaps for your stay.

Island Time has a great outdoor patio/balcony to compliment a great interior. You can mix a cocktail and enjoy the day or take in the sunset and toast to the paradise that is Island Time in Gulf Shores.

The area has tons of attractions. Wildlife-lovers will be in heaven here, with birdwatching at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, dolphin-watching cruises, and The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Visitors love Gulf State Park for its beaches, trails, and pier. And that’s just the beginning! We loved the history at Fort Morgan and the trail and sights on the Jeff Friend trail. We loved Gulf Shores so much we wanted to share this area with others! We love the small-town feel and the beautiful sights and attractions in the area. We have watched our kids grow here and see the happiness on their faces while they have enjoyed the sun, sand, salt water, and all the other attractions.

Beach Chairs – We have rented 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for your stay, the name Island Time will be on the chairs. Please ensure you tp your beach attendant. Tips are their main source of income. Also, if you would like more chairs just ask and he/she will add the chairs and umbrella(s) to your setup. Please note additional chairs/ umbrellas are an additional cost.

What´s provided: We have tried to think of everything, but we may fall short. If so let us know. Kitchen: We have tried to fully outfit the unit with everything that we find we need when we stay there. The kitchen should be fully stocked and ready for your culinary creations. Bathroom: We have young children and found that a handheld shower head was very helpful. The cleaners should have 6 bath towels, 6 wash cloths, 1-2 hand towels, and a set of small starter soaps. In the bedrooms/unit: We have put out 6 beach towels for your use. The only thing we ask, as these are not swapped out every stay as with the sheets and towels, is to please wash and dry the beach towels before you leave. This helps our cleaner very much and she will be very thankful. The beds (King and 2 queens) should have all the necessary sheets, quilts, etc.

Use Items: We stock and try and leave laundry detergent (Gain), Dishwasher Pods, hand soaps, dish soap, and resort-style bath soaps for your stay. We also leave 1 roll of paper towels, 1 roll of toilet paper, and a few garbage bags for your stay. We also try and ensure guests have salt, pepper, seasonings, pan spray, olive oil, coffee filters, coffee (This is generally community coffee), and a handful of K Cups.
