Description
This is the perfect place for a small family, two couples, or a getaway with the girls. Our 2 bed 2 bath condo is on the 4th floor with a direct view of the Gulf. Gulf Shores Plantation is located 12 miles down Fort Morgan Road from Hwy 59 in Gulf Shores. You can stay on Fort Morgan all week, or easily go into Gulf Shores/Gulf State Park/Orange Beach for unlimited entertainment and restaurant options.
Our building was destroyed by Hurricane Sally in 2020. It was rebuilt from the studs and reopened in 2022. Everything is new: kitchen, baths, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Wi-Fi, furniture, mattresses, paint, etc.
Our unit sleeps 4. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The sofa is very comfortable since it is not a sleeper sofa. The power recliner is amazing, for post-beach napping or rainy day TV bingeing. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dual coffee maker for regular brewing and pods, a crockpot, blender, mixer, and plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, and utensils.
From the south balcony, you can see the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is approximately 600 steps away. At times you can see and hear the Blue Angels practicing along the coastline. From the north balcony you can see the tennis/pickleball courts, Kiva Dunes golf course, and glimpses of Bon Secour/Mobile Bay.
Resort amenities include 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, sauna, steam room, fitness room, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, outdoor grills, and a Sassy Bass restaurant. Chairs with umbrellas are available to rent on the beach seasonally. Washers and dryers are located on the ground floor of the building, just past the elevator.
The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is nearby for short hikes. Historic Fort Morgan is 8 miles away, as is a newly rebuilt fishing pier, a Tacky Jacks restaurant, and a ferry that goes to/from Dauphin Island. Kiva Dunes Golf Club is next door to GS Plantation and Peninsula Golf Course is a few miles away.
Gulf Shores Plantation is a Leave Only Footprints resort. You may not leave tents and other items on the beach overnight.

Gulf State Park with walking and biking trails (bikes available to rent,) nature center, and fishing pier;
Dolphin tours, charter fishing excursions, kayaking, miniature golf, amusement parks (The Track and OWA,) Gulf Shores Zoo, antique/vintage shopping, outlet shopping, many restaurants, concerts at The Wharf, and more.
Take the ferry to Dauphin island to visit the Estuarium.

My husband and I purchased our condo in 2010, after having vacationed at Gulf Shores Plantation since the late ‘80s. We toured several units, but when we walked into 4411 and saw the view, we were sold. We live in Baldwin County, just over an hour away. We are both retired, so we are able to frequently visit between renters to check for cleanliness as well as quickly take care of any issues that may arise during a stay.
