× About Roy and Susan Forson After living all over the country, we have finally made lower Alabama our home! We have lived in Maryland, Michigan, Wyoming, and Tennessee. We are avid golfers and love scuba so Gulf Shores is a great fit for us. We live nearby in a local community and are dedicated to helping you and your family have a great vacation! Roy and Susan Forson purchased this condo in 2013 Why Roy and Susan Forson chose Gulf Shores We spoke to many visitors to Gulf Shores and we kept hearing over and over that Sea Oats is the 'best kept secret in Gulf Shores' for family vacations! All the families we spoke to keep coming back and we certainly see why. The units are well-maintained and they have two amazing pools. The lagoon is perfect for fishing and the beach is just steps away - the best of both worlds! What makes this condo unique As a mom, my favorite feature is the balcony which has a great view of the pool. I can keep an eye on the kids and enjoy a moment relaxing in the evening shade. We love that our condo is on the first floor (only one flight of steps for lugging groceries). We also have a downstairs storage unit so all the beach toys can stay out of the way until you need them - really keeps the sand away! Finally, we love how well stocked everything is. We enjoy using our condo, too, and it is great to be able to pack our clothes, shop for some groceries, and relax! We don't have to buy or bring a lot of extra items - and that is exactly the experience we want to provide to you! Going on vacation is not supposed to be a lot of work!

Maui to the max
This is an excellent property, well sited with plenty of resources within handy walking distance (it's just across the road from a mall with supermarket, pizza and local diner plus there's some more quirky shops a few more steps away), although the parking spaces can get a bit crowded.
The apartment is extremely well equipped and it's a temptation simply to sit on the balcony admiring the view with a glass of local brew in hand.
When we were there (December 2016), there was a fair amount of upheaval due to earthworks taking place in front of the units to the left which meant that the grounds were less than pristine, but who cares when there's a whole island to explore. The resort itself isn't much to speak of but there are fabulous beaches in every direction offering everything from hardcore waves to headland-protected bays aquarium-full of sealife to snorkel around in.
Well located + well equipped + well priced = well pleased!

Wonderful place to watch the surf and look for whales
This was an ideal place for our 10 days on Maui. Convenient to everything, a great well-maintained resort and a very comfortable condo to stay in. The breeze meant we seldom needed the air conditioning, and the well furnished unit provided a home away from home. An excellent choice.

great place
We have stayed at Papakea several times. We love everything about it. Parts of this condo have been updated. We always love the view from the B building condos. Having the washer and dryer is great. We have met so many nice people when we have been there. Love the elevators and how close to stores and restaurants this is. We are already planning on returning in the fall. I use a walker and mobility is hard for me. The location to the parking and the elevator make this a great place for me. T like to pretend I live there! The staff of the property are all very nice and helpful. Misty is great to work with and knows her stuff. Great place.
