Welcome to the Lazy Lizard! The Lay Lizard is a new beach house in Bay to Breakers on the Fort Morgan peninsula of Gulf Shores. If you like peace & quiet when you are on vacation, then this is the place for you. The beach at the end of the boardwalk is private to our community. The 2 large Saline pools and kiddie pool is just steps away. These are community pools but I have never seen more than a family of 4 in it, so there are no crowds out here, just beauty and peace to enjoy.
The Lazy Lizard offers 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths!
BEDROOM #1: MASTER KING SUITE (downstairs) private bath, with a flat screen TV and private deck that opens off the master with a view of the pool and gulf.
BEDROOM #2: (upstairs) offers queen bed, bunk beds, twin over full and a flat screen tv
BEDROOM #3: (upstairs) offers full size bed and flatscreen tv
BEDROOM #4: (upstairs) offer 2 twin beds and flatscreen tv.
There is a large bath with dual vanities located upstairs as well as a large sun deck for sunning, reading or just relaxing!
There is a large living area with a flat screen TV, and kitchen/dining combo all open with the living area and french doors leading out to a covered/screened porch for dining and relaxing while enjoying the view and the constant breeze between the gulf and the bay. There is a queen sofa sleeper In the main living area as well. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.
The swimming pools are 20 feet from the bottom of the stairs, and the beach is a 500 walk to the boardwalk, if you get tired of the beach and pool we also have deeded access to the pier into the bay across the street so you can go fishing or take your lawn chair and sit and watch the sunset. We have added a fire pit to the back yard so you can sit out by a fire and enjoy the evening breeze.
Underneath the house is ample parking and a place for grilling or having a shrimp boil. Well behaved dogs are welcome for a pet fee and must remain on a leash whenever they are off of our property, but the Fort Morgan beach is the only beach in Gulf Shores that allows your dog actually on the beach with you to play.
The construction of the Lazy Lizard was completed in 2013 and everything is shiny and new. We have hired a professional management company for the house so that any needs that might arise during your stay are tended to promptly.

Our family is from Huntsville, AL and has always dreamed of owning a vacation home at the beach. We rented a house in Ft. Morgan a few years back and fell in love with the area and the beaches, so we have finally had our dream come true. We purchased this house in 2012
Why we chose Fort Morgan: We love the laid back, uncrowded Fort Morgan area, it is a beautiful ride out Hwy 180 to Bay to Breakers and it is only a 20 minute ride to Hwy 59, the super Walmart and an easy jaunt to the strip in Gulf Shores, the property is pet friendly as well as the beach. What makes this house unique Take long walks on the miles of uncrowded beaches, go fishing on the pier, take a dip in the pool, or just sit on one of the 3 decks and enjoy the views and breeze.

Wonderful Week!
This is our second time to stay at The Lazy Lizard and this time was just as great as the last time. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out to play games, eat or just watch the sun go down. We had one day that it rained but because of the comfort of the whole house we all took a day to veg out, cook and just be quiet. The kitchen is well equipped, so it was easy to cook most of the week. If you are looking for a great family get away this is the place to be.

A great getaway with all home amenities
We have stayed there on multiple occasions. Our family has always enjoyed the cleanliness of the home and ease of rental - zero issues and very good communication from the owner if any questions. If you are looking for a reasonablly priced great place to enjoy the sun and the beach - this is it !!

Comfortable
The house was well supplied. All the furniture including the beds were comfortable. Just a short walk to the beach and the pool is right next door. A few minor concerns were addressed quickly. Very nice!

Awesome property
The house was perfect !!! Owners were so attentive. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen that we have ever stayed at !!! Two suggestions 1. A new can opener 2. A ice cream scoop. We had beautiful weather and our puppy loved it !!!
