Beautiful brand new beach apartment has lots of room with beautiful views and ample room for 4 people. Upstairs King size bedroom has a private deck for enjoying the views of the gulf and bay, downstairs dining area has a private deck for dining or just sitting and relaxing while enjoying the views. Downstairs has a queen sleeper sofa and 1/2 bath with a new modern kitchen. Washer dryer is included as well as access to the pool or fishing on the bay. We are a mere 500 feet from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, no busy streets to deal with. Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, as well as Kiva Dunes and the Plantation are all within a 15 minute drive. Gulf Shores proper is only 18 miles from the house. Visit historic Fort Morgan only 2 miles down the road, or take a ferry ride over to Dauphin Island for the day.
If you are looking for modern and clean, with views as well as peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle this is the place for your getaway.

× We stayed at this new gorgeous home for Thanksgiving, it was amazing ! We rented both sides for a large family gathering and it was perfect. The 2 kitchens and living areas really came in handy with a large crowd. The 2 laundries allowed everybody to do laundry without waiting. The weather was perfect for using the underside grilling area and fire pits. This house is only a few steps from the beach, less of a walk than any of the condos we have stayed at, the pool was nice, the kids enjoyed it even though it was November. Absolutely Gorgeous House
We have rented a lot of houses in the area and this one by far was the nicest for a good price. The attached apartment was amazing for the other family that was traveling with us. We will definitely be back

Wonderful Family Vacation
We rented Mermaids Dream and the attached apartment for our family of 13. Beautiful new property! Was wonderful to have the two kitchens and two living areas. Worked out great for our 8 adults and 5 kids. Loved the beach,pool and fishing pier that was all within walking distance. Family members suggest night stands in upstairs bedrooms, hooks in bathrooms and ice makers did not seem to make much ice. Rose was very good about answering any questions we had. Made wonderful memories and hope to return next year!

Celebrating 50th Anniversary at The Mermaid
For our first beach trip in years, the Mermaid was the perfect choice! We decided to celebrate our marriage of 50 years with our entire family--3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 6 grandchildren, and we were thrilled with the accommodations, proximity to beach, and space below for some memorable meals together. Why go out to eat (although there are several nice places nearby--Tacky Jack's and Sassy Bass to name a few) when you have a large grill, two fire pits, and plenty of seating for even our crowd? The decor was lovely, and the kitchen facilities--a must for a large family--were roomy and very well equipped! Our grands were especially amazed at the multiplicity of large televisions! We heartily recommend a stay at the Mermaid--don't wait, though. Bookings like this one will fill quickly!

Amazing House !
This spacious, well furnished apartment was just the ticket for our fall getaway with the whole family including the in laws. The in laws took the apartment so they could have a little down time from all the grand kids and they LOVED it. It has a full sized, fully stocked kitchen with a private dining porch. King bed and private bath as well as it's own laundry. The master bedroom has a wonderful deck to sit out and enjoy the views. The connecting door really blocked the noise so they could relax. We will definitely be back and the in laws have said they may make it a yearly thing for just the 2 of them in the apartment. Absolutely loved this home.

What a great place !!!!
We took a family getaway with the in laws for Fall Break and this was the perfect house for it. We opted for the whole house to include the apartment so the in laws could catch a break from all the grandkids. That was the best decision we could of made. This house is absolutely beautiful, the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. The apartment is completely self contained and includes a fully stocked full size kitchen, private bedroom, bath with Jacuzzi and laundry. The in laws loved being able to shut the adjoining door and enjoy a little peace and quiet. The apartment has its own dining and master decks for privacy, the views from it are wonderful. I cannot recommend it highly enough as either a getaway for a couple or with friends, since it has a sleeper sofa downstairs. We will definitely keep it in mind for just the 2 of us.
