Our condo is designed with relaxation and comfort in mind.
KITCHEN: The open floor plan features a spacious kitchen fully stocked with everything you need for preparing meals. In addition to standard dinnerware and cookware, we have small appliances including a George Foreman indoor grill, large crockpot, stick blender, electric griddle, electric mixer, and full-size blender. We even have a spice rack and condiments available.
DINING: The dining table seats six with additional bar seating for three.
LIVING ROOM: The living room has two new leather power recliners and a power reclining couch with USB charging ports. It also has a large smart TV, wireless internet, and cable tv.
The sun room is adjacent to the living room and has a view of the courtyard and a twin day bed with trundle.
BEDROOMS: The "Captain's Quarters" has a king bed with luxury linens, tv, and an en suite bath with tub/shower and fluffy towels! The adjoining sun room, our "Happy Room" has been converted to a space for your children to enjoy. It has a day bed with trundle, tv with DVD player, small desk, books, games, puzzles, DVDs, etc. We also have a pack-n-play and booster chair for your use.
The "Flamingo Room" has a comfortable queen bed and tv. The second full bath is across the hall. It has a shower stall and shares the fun "flamingo" theme!
OUTDOORS: Walk right out the door and within 2 minutes (we timed it!) your toes will be in our beautiful white sandy private beach! No elevators, steps or large lobbies. Watch the dolphins and shrimp boats in early mornings. Enjoy the gentle waves of the East End beach or venture down to the public beach on the West End of the island for more waves and beautiful scenery. To add to your enjoyment, we provide a beach wagon, chairs, beach toys, towels, and a small charcoal grill for your use. There is also a community-shared pool and outdoor shower.
SECURITY: Dauphin Surf Club is primarily a residential complex in a secure, gated community. You can rest easy knowing you are in a safe place.
If you are coming to the beach to get away from hustle and bustle, crowded beaches, and traffic, then Happy Joy Condo at Dauphin Island is the place for you.

Dauphin Island is a different kind of beach town. There are no chain hotels or restaurants and no high rises. Restaurants are family-owned. You won't encounter the crowds and traffic that are common at other beaches. Local attractions include the Estuarium (also known as the Dauphin Island Sea Lab), Fort Gaines, Mobile Bay Ferry, Audobon Bird Sanctuary, and Cedar Point Fishing Pier.
In nearby Mobile, you can visit the Mobile History Museum, historic downtown Mobile, or the USS Alabama.
Dauphin Island has been designated as the “Sunset Capital of Alabama,” so you haven’t lived until you’ve experienced the approaching dusk of day from any point on the island. Located at the southernmost point of Alabama – 3 miles south of the Mobile Bay – Dauphin Island feels worlds away, but is easy to reach.

Happy Joy!!!!!!!!
Wow!!! What an incredible time we had at this condo in Dauphin Island. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the condo is. It is well stocked with comfortable furniture. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It was so clean!!! The owners gave great directions and made it so easy for us to get there and into the condo!! This was our first experience at the Island and we enjoyed it so!! We were minutes from the beach! We also loved that it was not busy -very beautiful and relaxing!! Everything a vacation weekend should be!! We highly recommend Happy Joy- you will not be disappointed!!!!

Beach rest
Happy Joy is decorated so nice and has everything you need. It includes beach towels, beach chairs, toys and wagon to carry to beach. Beach is not crowded. Saturday morning I had it all to myself for about 2 hours. Heavenly peaceful. We are hoping to come back.

The condo was everything it was promised to be and more! My sister, mom and I enjoyed our long weekend for my mom's 60th birthday. The condo has everything you need and is in such a great, quiet location. We loved spending time on the beach and were able to watch the sunset each night. We were able to enjoy a full moon over the water as well. Beds are comfortable and I want one of those recliners for my house now! Appliances are in good working order, and beach supplies are in great condition. We are already talking about a return trip.

Truly a Treasure
What a wonderful place! First impression walking in was how clean it was. Then how fitting the decor. The owners thought of and provided nearly everything for a vacation.
We practically had a private beach—don’t know where everyone else was! We biked to dinner every night on a safe and easy bike path.
Will definitely be back!

If relax is what you need to do, this is the place. It's quiet, laid-back, and comfortable. We slept like babies in the comfortable Flamingo BR. Walking on and sitting on the beach is our happy place. We got plenty of that. We loved the solitude of the walks both east and west on the beach where we saw crabs, dolphins, rays, and a variety of shore birds. The owners go the extra mile to make Happy Joy stand out. It does! Great stay at Happy Joy
We had a great time. The weather was sunny with a cool breeze. The condo itself is just adorable. Steps to the beach! The beds slept great and everything was very clean and well maintained. I loved the way it was decorated! We will go again, probably in a warmer month though, I freeze if it isn’t 80 degrees outside????. It’s a very nice place to have your kids on the beach and a great place to rest and rejuvenate!

We Loved Our Stay
This was a wonderful way to spend the last few days of an eventful year. Being our first time to Dauphin Island, we were excited to be near the beach and looking forward to the sunsets, however, there was more to be offered, and it was a true treasure. We toured Fort Gaines, and the history itself was fascinating, but the views of the water and beach were a great surprise for me. The Happy Joy condo was an ideal place for us to stay. It was super clean, with comfortable beds, wonderful recliners, and most any cooking utensil we needed. Information was available in the condo, and very easy to understand, for any questions we may have had regarding operating the TV, appliances, heat, along with property contacts, island attractions, food, and fun. The owners were always available from the time we inquired about the property until after we left. We appreciate all their hard work at making our time relaxing, fun, and safe.

A great getaway!!
What a wonderful destination for our Girl’s trip!!! Happy Joy was a great place to stay, and we loved the beach being only steps away! Our weather was beautiful and the sunsets were stunning...definitely looking forward to going back!
