WELCOME TO OUR HAPPY PLACE!
Come stay with us and you will see why we call this our Happy Place. Three bedrooms, two baths, two decks, open living area, charcoal grill, views of both the ocean and the bay from both decks . . . all you need to do to enjoy is kick off your shoes when you arrive!
The place is so serene, you can do as much or as little as you want! You can walk to the beach or the bay. You can play games in the yard or sit out on the deck. Is it raining? We have puzzles and games!
Hungry? There are a several restaurants out here near Ft. Morgan and a couple of general stores. Our guide book has suggestions for restaurants all around the area.
The Fort Morgan historic site is less than 2 miles away. After exploring there, jump on the Dauphin Island Ferry and explore the island. Sometimes you can just sit on the deck and watch the Blue Angels practice!
Our home is about a 15 to 20-minute drive back to Gulf Shores central. Once there, restaurants and tourist gift shops are everywhere! You can find a gift on your list for everyone.
If you tire of the beach, you can always visit the zoo, the water park, go on a zip-line, rent a kayak or paddle board, take a dolphin cruise - - - Oh the places you could go!
If it's quiet at home you seek, just sit back and read one of the many books. Maybe you're in the mood for a game or a jigsaw puzzle?
There's lots to do, but remember, you don't have to do anything at all!
Unfortunately, due to past guests, we no longer accept pets. However, we will take special requests under consideration.

Policies
* Please treat our home as you would your own. We are so blessed to share it with others, but it is a lot of work! :-)
* If you damage something, please replace it with the same or a better item.
* If you use the last of a supply, please replace it, such as baggies, condiments, etc.
* Guest agrees that if there are more occupants than what is told to owner, guest will pay an extra $100 for each additional guest.
* Guest MUST provide a photo of the front of their driver's license before accessing the property.
* PLEASE read the rental agreement and house rules.
Please know the weather is beyond our control
Storms sometime knock out power and/or wifi. Televisions will not work without wifi. Owner will work with power and cable companies to repair, but has no control over when that will be.
Storms also sometimes cause flooding in the yard. It happens. Owner cannot control. .

Awesome family getaway!!!!
It was very pleasant and quiet area. The house had everything you needed for the perfect getaway(Grill, beach chairs, umbrellas, and etc). The house was kid friendly, it has a gated porch blocking stairs and plenty of toys in bedroom. My 2 year old had a blast playing with all the toys. We will definitely be returning for another vacay!!!

Felt Right At Home
We really enjoyed our stay at Our Happy Place. Jill was wonderful to work with before and after our arrival. The location of the house was perfect for us, just a very short walk to the beach. Our group of 8 was very comfortable and the house was larger than it appears in the pictures. We really enjoyed the shared spaces of the living room and kitchen - and even baked cookies one night! The kitchen was very well stocked and while we did not need any of the beach items provided, they were appreciated. This house feels as if you are visiting a friend at the beach - we loved journaling our stay and we liked reading about previous visits to the house. We look forward to staying here again!

Great place to stay in Fort Morgan! Dolphins, sun and sand!
The Happy Place in Fort Morgan was just right for a three night stay with extended family. Clean, comfortable, and a short walk to the beach! Two benefits to this off the beaten path location are that the beach was quiet and uncrowded and rental prices were lower than busier areas near Gulf Shores. Both were added bonuses for us! We liked the house's open floor plan and every convenience was on hand. Dishes, cookware, towels, linens all clean and available. It was nice to have inner tubes and beach chairs that we could bring down to the beach for the day and the outdoor shower was an easy way to rinse off before coming inside. The space worked well for our group of eight. Each of us had enough space to relax and unwind. The kids liked that there were bunk beds for them and the bed in the master was super comfortable. Owners were gracious and easy to work with, answered all my questions before we booked the property and provided quick responses when I tried to reach them. We had a great time swimming and relaxing on the beach, saw dolphins right off shore two days in a row, and enjoyed dinner on the deck one evening. It was a wonderful relaxed time with family!!! We loved the location and value on this end of Gulf Shores! Great place to stay and we would do it again!

Great family vacation!! Our regular vacation spot!
We love Happy Place so much we have returned for 4 consecutive summers. The house is equipped with everything you need. One of the greatest features is the beach supplies. They have a canopy, beach chairs, wagon, and numerous toys for you to use. The supply of beach towels is also handy. It was great to not have to pack all of these things. We love the small town residential feel of the area, with the added perk that Gulf Shores is only 20 minutes away, if you want to hit up some of the “touristy” parts of the beach. The hosts are phenomenal to work with. 10/10 would recommend Happy Place to any of our friends.

Excellent place to get away for a week.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The home has everything you would need. You can see the Gulf and the Bay from the deck. You can be in the water after a short 5 minute walk. Or you can just enjoy the beach or fish if you choose. Our dog loved the sand and taking his daily walks on the beach. The home is a couple miles from Fort Morgan and the Ferry (if needed). If you don't feel like cooking Tacky Jacks is a couple minutes away. The Sassy Bass is within a 10 minute drive. Kiva Dunes is a is a 10 minute drive and is a beautiful golf course. I felt like everything we needed was within 10 minutes. We are looking forward to spending another week here next summer.
