My husband and I (senior citizens) were longing for a quiet beach after a year of suffering from Covid-19 shut in. This vacation was exactly what we needed! This property is so clean and had everything we needed! It’s a short walk to the beautiful beach and pool! We had a wonderful night's rest in the comfy, king bed! We would highly recommend it and we are looking forward to our next visit! Great vacation!

Joy was wonderful to correspond with prior to our arrival, with very detailed instructions that were easy to follow. The condo was just as described, and perfect for our family of two adults and 3 small children. The welcoming touches of toys and books for the kids were amazing! Having a wagon of chairs and beach activities to take to the beach was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for preparing meals. We can’t say enough good things about the stay! Thanks Joy, we hope to be back!

My fiancée & I took a week at this amazing condo to ‘get away from it all,’ and are so happy with the result. The beach is so close you can hear the waves from the front door! Inside, the condo is super-clean, with amenities everywhere! Laundry detergent, dishwashing pods, black washcloths for makeup removal, decked out kitchen, good WiFi... you’d be hard put to find something missing. We spent plenty of time on the island, but you’re also in striking distance of Mobile, Biloxi, take the ferry to Gulf Shores, or take a short drive to Ocean Springs (the Walter Anderson museum is definitely worthwhile.) Yum it up at the Lighthouse Bakery on the island (danishes are crazy good,) Spot of Tea in Mobile, and Sugar Rush Doughnuts & Coffee in Bayou La Batre for breakfast. Po’ Boys for lunch at Pirate’s, and grab dinner at Catalina’s in Bayou La Batre or Islanders on Dauphin. Everyone is super-nice. We kinda had a hard time finding a bad meal. Joy was very receptive to our needs, and the on-site manager, Dee, seemed ready to help at a moment’s notice. We didn’t need her, though: the place was rock solid from the get-go! Go! Enjoy!

We found the most wonderful place to just go relax for a few days and our Host, Joy, made it so easy that I felt like I was home with all the comforts. We only had to get the food we ate because she had everything you could possibly want right there. I had a few questions and she stayed in contact immediately until she had an answer for me. I will be going back again next year when my husband and I need a quick getaway from the stresses in life.

We had a relaxing vacation in this beautiful condo! We were the only ones on the beach and enjoyed searching for pretty seashells! The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. Everything was extremely up to date and well cared for. The beds were so comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again!

We rented this condo with plans to stay for one week. After only 2 nights, we had to evacuate due to Hurricane Sally. Joy, the owner, was immediately in touch with us working out with us what we needed to do. She stayed in contact with us the whole time. After evacuation, she continued to stay in touch with us to make decisions on what we should do. We are very, very thankful for the kindness she has shown us.
This condo is an excellent place to stay, perfectly located close to the beach. Newly remodeled and has super comfy beds!! Although Sally took this trip away from us, we will be going back to Dauphin Island and we WILL most definitely be staying at Happy Joy.

We really enjoyed our stay and was very comfortable and felt at home! Everything was very clean and we had our 2yr old grandson with us and he loved the beach toys! I loved that we had our own area on the beach and no problem walking 2 minutes, the beach wagon and chairs were so nice to have to use! I now want a flamingo room! My husband and our 10 & 12 yo kids enjoyed this rental. The location was awesome, could see the ocean from the window and could watch kids running back to the house for things from the beach. The provided laundry, dish washer, and shower products were especially convenient. However, as a family who grills every night at home the tiny charcoal grill was a let down. The bathrooms are very small for a family w kids, but overall totally functional. Happy Joy is a fantastic family beach rental! Highly recommend! We'll likely consider visiting again!
