Amazing

Frances communicated with us promptly, explained the workings of the cottage and the farm, and provided precise directions to shops and local attractions. The cottage is exactly as described and situated in a quiet, shaded, ten-acre working farm within the city of Fairhope--amazing. We and half-a-dozen relatives we were visiting tremendously enjoyed Frances' tour of her managerie--goats, cattle, chickens, cats, an Anatolian herding dog, and a rabbit. A great place to stay with helpful unobtrusive hosts.

Loved the little cottage

Stayed 2 nights on The Fairhope Farm. Loved the little cottage, just the right size & has a kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. It's a beautiful property! And Frances & her sweet daughter were very hospitable.

Wish I had stayed longer!

My mother found this for us and I wish my partner and I had stayed much longer! Our lodgings were a wonderfully appointed little cottage on a very personalized thought out parcel of land. The owners really love what they are doing, and it shows. From the care of their animals to the finishes of the buildings. Since it's a working farm things are always changing, so while we were there a baby fainting goat was born and bottle feeding the tiny thing with blue eyes was a special treat. Frances was especially wonderful and was a person I wish I could have spent even more time with. She was happy to answer any and all of my questions or needs and even took the time to give us a complete tour. Explaining how her designs were in place to promote a farm that leans toward self sufficiency. They also have some of the best meats for sale that in my thirty years of traveling to alabama I have ever had. I could keep going on about how great she and her farm were but I won't cause honestly it's a place you have got to see for yourself, it's absolutely great! Also for those who would be concerned it's a very clean farm we had zero complaints about any mess or smell. Frances you are always welcome at our home!

Loved our visit

Our family loved our visit. This was a fantastic location as we were able to get many places quickly. Our 10 month old love the farm animals and being able to see them daily. We even got to see a brand new baby goat. Frances and her husband helped out with places to go and answered any questions we had. If we were in the area again, I would love to stay here again!

My dad loved it!

I booked this cottage for my Dad recently. He loved it. We took my niece out there to visit with the animals and Francis was great. She showed us around and told us about her animals and let my niece pet some rabbits and young ducks. She really loved it! The cottage is really nice. It is a little bigger than a hotel room, with a kitchen, but is much nicer. Overall, the farm stay was a winner and we'll be back.

Lots of little extras

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. Frances was very communicative and responded quickly when I had questions prior to the visit. We arrived very late at night after a long day of traveling and discovered she had left some snacks for us in the kitchen of the cottage. What a kind gesture! The cottage was kept in good condition and had a lot of little "extras"; we enjoyed browsing the movie selection. The bed was very comfortable, and the farm was very quiet and peaceful, all of which meant a good night's rest. Frances spent an hour giving us a tour of the farm before we left. We really enjoyed seeing the baby ducks, baby goats, and calf. Before we headed off to New Orleans, Frances gave us a list of restaurants to try there (we had never been to New Orleans), which was so thoughtful. If we ever find our way back to Fairhope again we will definitely stay here.

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Francis was a wonderful host! We had a peaceful stay at the farm house and got to enjoy a really cool orientation to this craft farm courtesy of her and her family. We enjoyed the quiet and peace of the beautiful property, and loved using the kitchen and yard to barbecue under the trees. Our space was clean and thoughtfully decorated. We had privacy when we wanted it, and friendly help and guidance when we asked. Francis even left a homemade baked birthday goodie for my partner when we checked in - a really thoughtful touch. Pigs, cattle, chickens, ducks, and fainting goats... What more could you ask for?
