Sandbox Serenity

A totally awesome stay at Sandbox Cottage. A great experience. There is room to breathe in this new, spacious cottage. It is tastefully appointed yet feels like home. Very convenient to downtown amenities and activities and equally convenient to Gulf State Park. A great location for setting out on a walk, bike ride or a night's entertainment. Easy and safe access to the beach, and the unit also provides a great view of the gulf when you just want to relax on the deck. This is an A+ property with gracious owners that are easy to engage and anxious to help make your stay one to remember. No doubt about it, I plan to return and highly recommend that anyone looking for awesome accommodations do so as well. Dave

Glowing 5-Star Review! Your Search is Over!

My family loved staying at Sandbox Cottage! The newness alone was awesome, and being tastefully decorated made it a perfect stay. The size of the rooms were great, and having three full size bathrooms was wonderful. We loved the furniture, and the beds were so comfortable!!! If you are concerned about having to cross the highway, worry no longer. The cottage is located near a red light with a crosswalk button that really works when you press it. Not only does it work, it works immediately, allowing your family to cross safely. As the picture shows, there is also a view of the ocean! The location to downtown Gulf Shores is also a plus. Sea N Suds is actually a little too close for our willpower, and everything else is within walking distance especially for festivals such as the Shrimp Festival, Music Fest, etc. Thanks to the owners, Rick and Kim, for being easy to reach and always responding promptly. We would love to stay here again!

This property is close to everything, had covered parking, and was beautiful inside and out.

There was 7 people in our party and the cottage had huge space. We never felt cramped. Loved to go out on the deck in the mornings with the partial ocean - beach view and drink our coffee. The pool wsd fun for the kids and we felt safe crossing the street since there was a crosswalk to stop any cars. We walked to the restaurants and shopping near gulf shores parkway. We also walked to Gulf Shores state park and pier which was really close. The beach was not crowded for the first part of June, which made it feel private and there were lounge chairs with umbrellas to enjoy. One afternoon we walked the neighborhood that the cottges sit in and met many local people that gave us suggestions on where to eat. It really made us feel as if we were in a small town with a lot of southern hospitality. We visited the USS Alabama and Ft Morgan. We even took the kids to waterville for go-karts & mini golf. We had so much fun and want to go back to do some kayaking or paddle boarding at the state park since this cottage is so close to it. We will return to this great location. Loving the #6 Cottage of Romeo Beach.
