Exactly as advertised

Honoraville, Alabama These cottages are small (as advertised), but served our needs perfectly. Having a washer and dryer was great. Everything you need is there. The cottage is very clean and premises well kept. Owners are extremely nice. We will be back! Source: Flip Key/Travel Advisor 

We LOVEDit!

Matt B

My wife and I just spent a week in cabin B. We absolutely loved it. To be honest we were a bit worried about how nice it could be at such a low price, but the house is spotlessly clean, we had all we needed, and we probably saw Phil every day in case we needed anything (we didn't). Phil couldn't be a nicer guy, and at about 15-20 minutes from the beach it was just right to be accessible but far enough away to be quiet. The area is nice and seems safe, and walking to the river and sitting out on the dock was a nice way to end each day! Stayed: April 2016 Submitted: May 17, 2016 Source: VRBO 

Better Than Camping

We usually camp at Gulf State Park when we vacation in Gulf Shores, but there were no campsites available, so we checked out VRBO for the first time. We were very pleased with this choice. The cottage was very affordable, was the right size for us and had everything we needed, including books and puzzles. Phil was the perfect host, especially when we had car trouble and had to stay an extra five days (fortunately the cottage was available). The location was perfect - nice, quiet neighborhood, and walking distance to the fish markets and the Tin Roof Restaurant, and 15-20 minutes to the beaches or to Foley for shopping. We will definitely consider staying here again. Thanks for everything, Phil. Source: VRBO 

Home away from home

Wolcott, New York This is our 4th stay at these cottages. We have always found them to be clean and well equipped with everything you could want. The area is very safe and beautiful and close to the Bon Secour river. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Phil is a great person and takes pride in his rentals. He is very prompt if there is a problem and goes out of his way to make you feel like friends. Close to everything happening in the area but far enough away to enjoy nature and the quiet of a small village. Stayed: January 2016 Submitted: March 1, 2016 Source: VRBO 

Great Time

This may have been our seventh stay with Phil and can't say enough about how we enjoyed things. It's off the beaten path yet close enough to all the interesting places and attractions with just a short drive. My wife thinks it's like having our own little place on the Gulf. Maybe the best thing about the place is Phil, he keeps things as neat as a pin with lots of little personal touches like keeping the bird feeder filled. He's part host, part tour guide and interpreter and all around good guy. We were there a couple of years ago when there was a freakish down pour (24 inches in Pensacola). He stayed on the property all night until things settled down to make sure we didn't get flooded. He even offered shelter at his nearby home if things got worse. We're counting the days until our next visit. Stayed: December 2015 Submitted: December 29, 2015 Source: VRBO 
